Hello Everyone!

Janeiro foi mês de Menswear e Haute Couture, e aqui estou eu para mostrar o que de melhor se fez nas capitais da Europa, em relação a tudo isto!

Paris é a única capital da Alta Costura e a ela lhe pertence um numero muito restrito e limitado de designers, ou 'maisons', que podem mostrar as suas colecções de "Haute-Couture"!

Já em Fevereiro, vamos nos preparando para o 'Fashion Month' [New York, London, Milan, Paris & Lisbon] que está mesmo a começar, e o alvoroço está lançado!

Por enquanto, vamos revendo esta maravilhosa semana de Paris...

Elie Saab, para mim já e o clássico do deslumbramento da Alta Costura. Tem dos trabalhos mais lindos, das linhas mais simples e eficazes de hoje em dia. A elegância, e a credibilidade de uma mulher dentro de algo criado por Elie Saab é muito elevada. Gosto sempre dos seus vestidos, nesta colecção um dos meus preferidos é o da abertura do desfile. Gostei dos tons verde agua e laranja, dos champanhe, amarelo, rosa e azul pálidos... O trabalho bordado é minucioso e divinal. Os tecidos leves e fluidos, sem grandes complicações. Simplesmente bonitos!

Giambattista Valli, ainda recente na história da Alta Costura, mas já a consagrar o nome de uma das mais recentes e promissoras marcas de hoje me dia. Com um desfile bastante simples e eficaz, com os seus símbolos do costume que vieram para ficar, numa colecção variada, viva e inovadora. Gostei bastante na inspiração em hortênsias, nos vestidos finais, com padrões florais lindos, de cores deslumbrantes em cortes bonitos que evidenciam a mulher 'Valli'. As plumas, as rendas e os bordados já são hábitos, mas as transparências, a pele de crocodilo e os volumes, não. Posso dizer que amo o trabalho de Valli, e cada vez mais delicio-me com tudo o que faz!

Tudo começa num convite com uma janela de avião e dois C's. Depois um cenário nada convencional, digamos... o interior de um avião! Depois de termos os passageiros, o que falta? Sim, hospedeiras, 'aeromoças', ou 'stewardesses'! Tudo isto somado e em tons de azul, leva-nos a duas palavras: "Pan Am". (tudo isto segundo a minha lógica, claro!)

Karl Lagerfeld, foi muito provavelmente influenciado, por esta estética. Achei incrível a inspiração e todo o assunto a volta da colecção. Quase tudo em tons de azul e branco, trabalhos incríveis de todos os ateliers liderados pela casa Chanel em plumas, bordados, sapatos... Tudo isto é perfeito e liderado por Lagerfeld, considerado um dos génios da actualidade. O brilho dos vestidos, a extravagancia dos cabelos, a opulência das jóias... tudo isto é calculado, tudo isto é pensado. É por isso, que tudo isto é genial e que tudo isto é Chanel.

Bill Gaytten, depois da saída de Galliano e antes da entrada de outro 'alguém', voltou a ser o responsável por mais uma colecção Dior Haute-Couture. Com uma colecção bem mais adulta e seria que a anterior, voltamos aos primórdios Dior, o "New-look" voltou com transparencias, pele de crocodilo, bordados florais e 'pied-poule'. Gostei muito de vários pormenores, como as fitas no cabelo, o proprio cabelo, os sapatos, a make-up, e alguns colares. Tudo isto deu brilho a colecção, um brilho que já faltava a Dior há algum tempo... Mas voltamos a questão máxima: Quem vai tomar o rumo da 'Maison'?

Inspirador, romântico, leve, bonito e inocente. Acho que estas palavras definem na perfeição todos os looks femininos e puros que Pier Paolo Piccioli e Maria Grazia Chiuri's, trouxeram para a casa Valentino. Quase sempre em tons de branco, com pequenos apontamentos de rosa e azul agua, amei a leveza com que consideraram a Alta Costura... Ao contrario da exuberancia e grandeza que se esperava, mostraram algo leve, "simples" e muito bonito, que faz-nos reconsiderar o que realmente é a Alta Costura. Um dos pormenores que realmente gostei muito, foram os sleepers que calçavam, simples e maravilhosos, em contraste com os fantásticos modelos que vestiam... Amável.

Com Givenchy, muito sinceramente e infelizmente, fiquei um pouco desiludido. Talvez a expectativa demasiado elevada, vinda das surpreendentes colecção anteriores, provocá-se uma maior desilusão... O que vocês acharam? Não achei que houve-se algo realmente novo. Sei que os motivos tribais foram uma nova abordagem, mas as estrelas, os cortes, as correntes e outros elementos eram coisas já vistas e que não me surpreenderam, nesta colecção. Claro que há peças lindas, looks magníficos e um grande trabalho por de trás de tudo, afinal, isto é Alta Costura! Afinal, tudo isto é Givenhcy!

Amy Winehouse, deixou sem duvida um marco na história, e JPGaultier não lhe ficou indiferente. Prova disso e um desfile de Alta Costura inteiramente dedicado a cantora, juntamente com um toque de salero com noivas decadentes, simpáticas e brincalhonas. As rendas prevalecem, as saia lápis arrasadoras a contrastar com um andar fatal calçado por magnificas sandálias. Gostei da irreverência nos casacos, dos 'bustiers' e dos véus com que todas casaram no final do desfile! E claro que amei a banda sonora...

Versace, de uma maneira electrificante conseguiu surpreender e prender os olhares com sofisticados looks que conjugam tecidos bonitos, metais inovadores e mulheres lindas. Predominaram tons de festa, como o cinza/prateado e dourado, juntamente com cores vibrantes como o amarelo, verde e laranja, presentes em vestidos arrasadores. O meu preferido, simplesmente pela sua inovação e construção, foi o vestido laranja, cai-cai, que tinha um "je-ne-sais-quoi" de arquitectura na sua armação e construção... Maravilhoso.

Pre-Fall 2012 Collections'

As pré-colecções para o Inverno começam a chegar, e desde cedo começam a deliciar os nossos olhos e a mostrar-nos coisas boas! Até agora, na minha opinião, têm surgido muito boas colecções, simples e usáveis que exploram novos materiais, texturas e silhuetas.

Ficam aqui algumas das que mais gostei...

(até agora, porque ainda estão muitas para vir!)

Thakoon

Thakoon, um dos novos e proeminentes designers de Nova Iorque, tem vindo a surpreender cada vez mais e já consta na minha lista de favoritos! Numa colecção maioritariamente em cores pastel, apresenta novos materiais e silhuetas muito femininas. Gostei do apontamento de make-up em alguns lábios de várias cores, do styling e na delicadeza das peças, que parecem muito confortáveis e atractivas para uma mulher cosmopolita, mas muito feminina.

Burberry Prorsum

Burberry Prorsum, já nos habituou a sobretudos, casacos e gabardines de excelente qualidade e cada vez mais, com designs bastante atractivos. Gostei muito dos pormenores desta colecção com animais estampados em várias peças, e também dos apontamentos em pêlo que realçam e valorizam bastante os looks. Os sapatos são também lindos, e claro, todos os casacos de homem podiam vir directamnete para mim! ... I wish!! ;)

Chanel

Como já é habitual Chanel, apresenta sempre grandes colecções para os seus desfiles, chamados 'Métiers D'art' realizados sempre nas colecções Pre-Fall e Cruise. Desta vez a inspiração veio da Índia, com looks bastante trabalhados, especialmente em pequenos pormenores e em acessórios já característicos da marca. Gostei bastante do trabalho feito com os cabelos e make-up e também de todo o styling do desfile.

Jason Wu

Jason Wu já é conhecido por tornar as mulheres chics, sofisticadas e bonitas. Com extremo bom gosto e bastante elegância criou novamente uma excelente colecção. Gosto particularmente dos vestidos e das calças e realço também os tops e os sapatos, habituados a vestir uma grande parte das mulheres da elite de Nova Iorque. Realço também os acessórios e as malas que estão a ficar cada vez mais fortes e com bastante personalidade.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Tenho a dizer que quando visitei Nova Iorque, a colecção ao vivo que mais me impressionou ao ver e tocar, foi sem dúvida Phillip Lim. Tanto pela sua qualidade e simplicidade, alguma irreverência em algumas peças e pelo estilo cosmopolita que transmite. Esta colecção vem precisamente mostrar isso. Peças simples, algumas com um toque de irreverência, acessórios lindos e originais e peças intemporais e de excelente qualidade! É assim que defino 3.1 Phillip Lim... AMO!

Proenza Schouler

Um dos maiores casos em ascensão na moda mundial hoje em dia, trata-se deste duo de rapazes. Proenza Schouler já é um caso sério, e desde o seu inicio que apresenta colecções maduras e bastante coerentes! Esta trata-se de mais um caso de sucesso. Excelentes acessórios, bons cortes e cores apropriadas. Gosto muito quando exploram novos tecidos e formas de os usar e estes dois rapazes fazem isso e muito bem!

H&M Spring2012 / Versace for H&M Collaboration

Hello Everyone!

Hoje venho mostrar-vos a nova coleccção H&M para o Verão 2012. Estive no Showroom e a coleccção tem peças muito boas! Cores fortes, tons neon e muitos estampados estão presentes em toda a colecção, feita de peças maioritariamente leves, mas cheias de personalidade. Gostei muito das peças mais simples de tom branco, e apontamentos azuis e também dos acessórios coloridos e nada monótonos!

Também no Showroom, estava presente a nova colecção da tão esperada colaboração da H&M com a Versace para o ano 2011. Gostei muito de ver as peças pessoalmente, poder tocar e entrar um bocadinho no mundo Versace! Desde os famosos 'malibu' prints estampados em vestidos, calças e t-shirts, passando pelos vestidos de pele recheados de tachas e até dos tons mais vivos que Gianni Versace gostava tanto de mencionar... Nesta visita consegui decididamente escolher as minhas peças preferidas, que vou querer comprar já esta semana, no dia 17 de Novembro, na H&M do Chiado, a única loja que venderá a colecção em Portugal.

Fashion Awards Portugal '11

Hello everyone!

Este ano tive o prazer de estar presente nos Fashion Awards Portugal '11! Uma cerimonia onde se celebra a moda em Portugal e se premeia os melhores da industria, em diferentes categorias como Melhor Designer, Melhor Modelo, Melhor Maquilhador ou até Melhor Produtor de Moda!

Foi uma noite glamourosa, cheia de brilho e de gente gira! Em que tive o prazer de estar com algumas das pessoas mais bonitas da noite (bloggers, por sinal!) e de partilhar momentos muito divertidos com todos eles! :)

Terceiro dia da ModaLisboa, para mim o melhor e o mais inovador! Aqui está o meu resumo das coleccções, começando com...

Saymyname

Saymyname, apresentou pela primeira vez uma colecçāo na ModaLisboa. Anteriormente ja tinha visto o trabalho da marca, e gostei muito. O press release da colecçāo, fala das divas dos anos 50 e compara-as com as divas de hoje em dia, as Bloggers e refere as mesmas como ditadoras de tendências... (TRUE!) :) As minhas peças favoritas são os vestidos e as saias plissadas, em tons cru e com motivos florais em roxo. Também gostei de algumas peças masculinas, com destaque para o casaco cor-de-rosa (mas noutra cor, sff!!)

Ricardo Andrez

Ricardo Andrez, com uma colecçāo apenas masculina, mostrou que o guarda roupa masculino tem mais oportunidades de desenvolvimento do que muita gente pensa... Viu-se body's, cortes nas calças e fechos éclair em varios pormenores. Gostei dos padroes das t-shirts, de alguns casacos e das malas. E é claro que nao deixei passar o pormenor da sola dos sapatos em branco, tal como ja foi visto... Aqui! :)

Filipe Faísca

Filipe Faisca, finalmente trouxe o toque de cor e de energia que todos esperavamos. Também com uma silhueta fluida e fresca, de cores animadas com padrões de 'acid shades' e ate 'Pollock'. Adorei os vestidos mais simples, classicos mas com o 'twist' de Faisca. Gostei das diferencas de comprimentos, das transparencias e dos efeitos tie-dye em camiseiros e vestidos!

Lidija Kolovrat

Lidija Kolovrat, apresentou uma colecçāo surpreendente, pela positiva! Motivos geometricos com cores electrificantes juntos com vestidos harmoniosos e estampados com colibris de um jeito simplesmente bonito. Aderessos como penas e sapatos massiços deram um toque romantico/guerreiro. Mas, sem duvida que os pontos altos da colecçāo (e os que eu mais gostei) foram os padrões geometricos a fazer muito lembrar Jil Sander, juntamente com as t-shirts (must have!) com os irresistiveis colibris...

Dawid Tomaszewski

Dawid Tomaszewski, foi sem dúvida alguma a maior surpresa da ModaLisboa! Uma colecçāo linda que só ela, muito coesa e harmoniosa. Vestidos de princesa, desejados por todas as presentes, ideias para uma noite de Oscares, ou de alguma entrega de premios algures em Veneza, ou Mónaco. Passaram desenhos de flores translucidos em seda e chiffon, que criavam bonitos vestidos leves e elegantes, em contraste com tons fortes, principalmente o rosa, usados em vestidos, calças e bolsas. Uma colecçāo linda e inexplicavelmente magnifica, que mereceu e bem, todos os aplausos e ovações que soaram no final da apresentação.

White Tent

Depois do desfile da Adidas, muito animado e cheio de gente do "estrelato" Português, chegou a colecção de White Tent. Com uma apresentação rapida, mas eficaz! O estilo fluido e minimalista, que representa a arquitectura contemporânia, fica nas preferências de muitos. Uma silhueta oversized repleta de pormenores muito interessantes e giros, como os bolsos (não existentes) das camisolas, vestidos e parkas e as suas mangas arregaçadas. Adorei as parkas de tecido transparente e as azuis perfuradas. Gostei do vestido e dos calções prateados e também das malhas e peças em tons cru!

Nuno Baltazar


Nuno Baltazar, com a colecçāo "Ma Damme", inspirou-se numa Madame francesa dos anos anos 50, jovem, inovadora e cheia de charme. Numa abordagem um pouco diferente do habitual, Nuno Baltazar apresentou uma colecçāo mais comercial e usável, cheia de pequenos detalhes deliciosos e femininos. Adorei as mini-saias conjugadas com blusas amorosas e muito giras! Adorei os vestidos e gostei dos diferentes decotes (nas costas, inclusive!) e da abordagem dos mesmos na silhueta de cores neutras, azuis, verdes e amarelos.

O segundo dia da Moda Lisboa, voltou a surpreender com as apresentações dos estilistas presentes...

Ricardo Preto

Depois de V!tor abrir as hostes no LAB, Ricardo Preto chega a passerele principal da ModaLisboa, com uma colecção vinda de uma metáfora. Com padrões exclusivos e originas, aplicados em tecidos leves e fluidos, criados com o propósito de entreter quem os veste e quem os observa. Entretidos ficamos nós com as cores e as texturas utilizadas tanto em vestidos, calças e blazers que surgem em look total. Fizeram-se notar também tecidos com efeito tie-dye conjugados na perfeição com as extensões de cabelo coloridas, das modelos!

Luís Buchinho

Luis Buchinho, mostrou uma colecçāo fresca e animada, cheia de texturas e jogos de comprimentos e transparencias. Malhas cruzadas que criam blusas e vestidos, com toques de amarelo, mas também em bronze e prateado. Adorei todas as caudas e cintos em tons cru, os estampados de palmeiras amarelas e as cores suaves deram o mote para um Verão bem quente.

Cia. Maritima

Cia. Maritima, trouxe muito, mas muito calor á sala de desfiles da ModaLisboa. Tudo isto com uma só palavra: Biquini! Pois é, esta marca já muito conhecida pelo sexo feminino (e apreciada pelo masculino), mostrou uma colecção mais retro e boho-chic. Muitas franjas, padrões tigresa, e a predominância do amarelo e cor-de-laranja, em biquinis muito sexys e em roupa de praia muito descontraída.

A fechar o dia esteve Ana Salazar, com a sua roupa já bem reconhecida, não sendo ela já uma veterana na Moda em Portugal!

ModaLisboa | Transfusion #Day I

Ontem foi o primeiro dia da ModaLisboa | Transfusion, com a apresentação das colecções para o Verão 2012, e a maioria das colecções revelaram-se agradáveis surpresas.

Alexandra Moura

Depois de Os Burgueses no espaço LAB, Alexandra Moura foi a primeira a apresentar a sua colecção no espaço principal de desfiles na ModaLisboa. Uma colecção divertida, cheia de blocos de cor, materiais improváveis, orelhas pintadas e óculos divertidos! Depois da colecção passada (uma das melhores, na última edição da Modalisboa) aguardava-se com ansiedade um novo resultado, mas a Alexandra voltou a surpreender até com a colecção de homem, inovadora, com detalhes improváveis e cheios de humor.

Pedro Pedro

Pedro Pedro, nunca desilude. Sempre com colecções muito coesas, intemporais, mas sempre com um toque especial. Nesta colecção o ""twist" desportivo e casual", fez-se valer de motivos medievais, como cavalos, brasões e cenas de guerra até estampadas em saias, e aplicados em blusas suaves, de corte desportivo e de cores neutras. As saias e calças de cintura subida, alongaram a silhueta feminina, enquanto o amarelo neon utilizado em algumas peças, como o fato-de-banho ou o trench-coat, deu animação a colecção fazendo todos um conjunto muito agradável, desejado por 'muitas' presentes!

Alves|Gonçalves

Depois da apresentação de Maria Gambina, 'Candy' composta por peças em latex e brilhos metalizados, seguiu-se a dupla Alves|Gonçalves. Sempre cheios de elegância e uma plateia bem atenta, a dupla voltou a sair-se muito bem! (como já era de esperar...) Uma colecção de cores neutras e suaves, com alguns looks bem visíveis em rosa e amarelo, com materiais de excelência lado-a-lado com PVC e 'palletes' aplicados em detalhes, fazendo sobressair o lado mais trendy e inovador da colecção. Os meus looks preferidos foram os em renda, ou com padrões brancos e o vestido neutro, de mangas compridas, simples e elegante, com um pormenor nas costas simplesmente delicioso. (primeira e segunda foto, da imagem acima).

Nos próximos dias esperamos mais surpresas e boas colecções...

New York Fashion Week

On my first day of NY Fashion Week, I had the privilege to see the final fashion show of the 9^th season of Project Runway! They were about 8 shows with 10 looks each. Presented by the adorable Heidi Klum, accompanied by the other juries of Project Runway…Michael Kors and Nina Garcia! Each fashion show started with the designer on the runway, presenting himself and describing the collection, and then it would be shown!

No meu primeiro dia da NY Fashion Week, tive o privilégio de ver o desfile final da 9ª Série do Project Runway! Foram cerca de 8 desfiles com 10 looks cada um. Com apresentação da adorável Heidi Klum, acompanhada pelos restantes excelentíssimos júris do Project Runway... Michael Kors e Nina Garcia! Cada desfile era iniciado pelo designer em passerele, apresentando-se e descrevendo a colecção, sendo ela apresentada de seguida!

In these images I present you some of my favorite looks of all fashion shows (with no order or following!). There were presented collections with inspirations coming from several places, each belonging to each designer. Some more geometrical, other more fluid, dresses full of color or monochromatic! Well what was really important, was that the collection identified itself with the contestant! Now all we have to do is waiting for the final episode of Project Runway to know thw winning collection!

Nestas imagens apresento alguns dos meus looks favoritos de todos os desfiles (sem qualquer ordem ou seguimento!). Foram apresentadas colecções com inspirações vindas dos mais variadíssimos lugares, referentes a cada designer. Umas mais geométricas, outras mais fluídas, vestidos cheios de cor ou monocromáticos! Enfim, o que interessava mesmo, era a colecção identificar-se ao máximo com o concorrente!
Resta-nos esperar pelo episódio final desta série para sabermos qual a colecção vencedora!

New York Fashion Week

EMERSON was the first show I attended in New York Fashion Week. Was also the first time for designer Jackie Fraser-Swan, who saw his collection presented in NY Fashion Week. A neutral tone collor collection with spots of blue and bordeux, military prints and textures. My favorite look is in the middle of the above foto. Simple, yet sexy and very trendy! I felt really previledge for being invited and witness the first official runway show of this ascending trademark.

EMERSON foi o primeiro desfile a que assisti na New York Fashion Week. Foi também a primeira vez que a designer Jackie Fraser-Swan, teve uma colecção sua a desfilar na NY Fashion Week. Uma colecção de tons neutros com apontamentos de azul e bordeux, padrões militares e texturas. O meu look preferido esta na foto acima, no meio. Simples, sexy e muito trendy! Para mim foi, mesmo, um privilégio enorme poder estar presente neste desfile e presenciar o primeiro desfile oficial de uma marca em crescimento!

Alber Elbaz surprises us again with Lanvin, and creates one of the most fun campaigns of the season!!
The campaign has the face of Raquel Zimmermann and Karen Elson, makes us dance and drool for every garment carried by the models!

Alber Elbaz volta a surpreender com Lanvin, e cria uma das campanhas mais divertidas da estação!!
A campanha protagonizada por Raquel Zimmermann e Karen Elson, faz-nos dançar e "babar" por cada peça vestida pelos modelos!

The male campaign designed by Lucas Ossendrijver, it’s one of my favorites of the season and it has one of the statements for next winter… The turtleneck under shirts, which I love! :)

This campaign like many others, it’s accompanied by a video with the essence from the collection and label, with photography by Steven Meisel, it’s fa-bu-lous and shows us models dancing one of the pop summer hits (unusual in big labels campaigns) with choreography, where even Alber Elbaz himself dares to dance!!

Esta campanha como muitas outras agora, vem acompanhada por um video com toda a essência da colecção e da marca, este com fotografia de Steven Meisel, está fa-bu-loso e mostra-nos as modelos a dançar um dos hits pop do verão (nada comum em campanhas de grandes marcas!) com direito a coreografia, que até o próprio Alber Elbaz se atreve a dançar!!

I know i haven’t been present in a while, but starting September and the entrance of Fashion Weeks, the blog will go back to its normal pace… I promise, exclusives, lots of fun and lots of news!

Meanwhile I’m going to New York (YEAH!!!) and I’m going to have the privilege of watching some of the fashion shows from NY Fashion Week, so that later I can tell you everything and describe you this dream which is about to come true! ;)

Eu sei que não estive presente nestes últimos tempos, mas a partir de Setembro com a entrada das Fashion Weeks, o blog vai voltar ao ritmo anterior... Prometo exclusivos, muita animação e muitas novidades!

Entretanto vou a Nova Iorque (YEAH!!!) e vou ter o privilégio de assistir a alguns desfiles da NY Fashion Week, para depois contar aqui tudo e descrever-vos este sonho que se vai realizar! ;)

Love [equals] Fashion

'Santa Eulalia' Barcelona

Hi everybody!

I’ve been to Barcelona this last weekend, and I’m here to tell you an experience I lived, related to, of course, fashion and big labels!

Before I even gone to Barcelona I found out a store named “Santa Eulalia”, that sells several luxury labels (kind of like Fashion Clinic or Stivali in Lisbon), so I decided to go take a look! In my mind I carried ‘Shopping Bag Cabas’ from Céline and realizing that I would be truly happy with one of those!!
Well, I got there and there it was, as well as many other fabulous items.
A store of pure luxury, thought to the detail, with a marble floor, mirrored walls, carpet in the exhibitors and numerous other extremely tasteful things! First time I went there (yes, because the experience had to repeat itself xD), I walked in and immediately spotted several models of bags, from the Summer 2011, of Céline collection. I instantly died right there. They had the already known ‘Boston Bag’ and ‘Clasp’ both from Céline shown in an exhibitor where it was combined with models from Miu Miu, Balenciaga, and to my joy and happiness, Proenza Schouler!! Which also joined the party with its ‘PS1’, and there, all the shop assistants laughed a little at my happiness (or stupid) face, by seeing all those candies in front of my eyes!!

Estive em Barcelona neste último fim-de-semana e venho contar-vos uma experiência que vivi, relacionada, claro, com moda e grandes marcas!

Descobri ainda antes de ir para Barcelona uma loja, de nome "Santa Eulalia", que revendia várias marcas de luxo (estilo a Fashion Clinic ou a Stivali em Lisboa), e decidi ir ver o que tinham! Levava na cabeça ver a 'Shopping Bag Cabas' da Céline e perceber se verdadeiramente seria feliz com uma!! :)
Pois que, quando lá cheguei tinha isso e muito mais.
Uma loja de puro luxo, cuidada ao pormenor com chão em mármore, paredes em espelho, alcatifa nos expositores e variadíssimas coisas de extremo bom gosto! A primeira vez que lá fui (sim, porque a experiência teve de se repetir xD) entrei e avistei logo vários modelos de malas da colecção Verão 2011 da Céline. Morri, logo alí instantaneamente. Tinham as já conhecidas 'Boston Bag' e a 'Clasp' ambas da Céline, expostas num expositor maravilhoso misturadas entre modelos da Miu Miu, Balenciaga e para minha alegria e felicidade, Proenza Schouler!! Que também entrou na festa com a sua 'PS1', e lá os empregados se riram um bocadinho com a minha cara de felicidade (ou parvo), ao ter todos aqueles docinhos em frente aos meus olhos!!

But the party doesn’t end here. This was just the first room of the many existent in the store, in the women section. I continued and walked in the men section, and there yes, I could see some things that could fit me and drive me insane. From prefect loafers from Tod’s, Bottega Venneta and Prada!! Suits and lots of classical men clothing, I decided to move along to the room with younger dressing! And what’s the first thing I see??? The wonderful colorful stripes sweater (most wanted by me and others) from Summer 2011 Jill Sander collection. My heart collapsed.
As soon as it restarted its fast beating, I see the T-shirts with amazing and unique printed flowers that would look soooo good on me! I tried to calm down, looked away, stopped for a while, took a deep breath…and I DIED AGAIN! The Louboutin studded shoes, were right behind me. OhMyGod. HEAVEEEEEEN!
From then on I was scalded and nothing else affected me that much. Bags from the same collection from Jill Sander, stylish sun glasses, other labels I know we all love so much, like Moncler Gamme Blue, Neil Barret, Dior Homme, Lanvin, Tom Ford and all that makes my heart beat a lot faster! The tour was over :( I was accompanied and my companionship wasn’t really feeling it and so I left that piece of heaven!

Mas a festa não acaba aqui. Esta era só a primeira sala das várias existentes na loja, na secção de mulher. Eu continuei e entrei na parte de homem, que ali sim, poderia ver algumas coisas que me servissem e dessem comigo em doido. Desde mocassins perfeitos da Tod's, Bottega Veneta e Prada!! Fatos, e tanta outra catrefada de roupa clássica de homem, decidi seguir para a sala de roupa jovem! Qual a primeira coisa que vi?? A maravilhosa camisola as riscas colorida (mais que requerida por mim e por muitos) da colecção de Verão 2011 da Jil Sander. O meu coração parou.
Assim que recomeçou o seu batimento acelarado, pois que vejo as t-shirts com flores estampadas magnificas e singulares que tãaao bem me ficariam! Tentei acalmar-me, desviei o olhar, parei um bocadinho, respirei... e MORRI OUTRA VEZ! Os sapatos Louboutin com picos estavam mesmo atrás de mim. OhMeuDeus. HEAVEEEEN!
A partir daí já estava escaldado e mais nada me afectou assim tanto. Malas da mesma colecção da Jil Sander, Óculos de Sol muito estilosos, outras marcas que bem sei, todos gostamos, como Moncler Gamme Blue, Neil Barret, Dior Homme, Lanvin, Tom Ford e tudo o mais que me faz bater o coração mais depressa! A visita acabou, :( estava acompanhado e a minha companhia não está muito para aqui virada e então lá saí daquele pedaço de céu!

But, the next day, by night, there I went! AGAIN :)

Meanwhile I‘ve had taken a look at the stores’ website and discovered that there were many more rooms besides the ones I have been. More labels, limited editions and even women clothing I have never seen before! Walked in a second turn, the exhibitor where before were all the Céline bags, today was frosted with a variety of Balenciaga, gorgeous as only they can be! I had the joy of experiencing, on the next exhibitor the Summer 2011 Collection from Proenza Schouler, to see and touch the fabrics that Jack and Lazaro created specifically for it, and to realize that that’s pure luxury! As Rachel Zoe sais: “That’s another level”!!
I continued my tour and saw a really cool room... imagine a passage room, oval, only with gilded picture frames, with faces very ‘Monalisa’ like, and each of those paintings had a pair of sun glasses, coming out of the painting… Really cool!
I went up stairs, nice clothing, lots of rooms, and the first love of each and every woman… Shoes. An oval room, only with showcases, filled with shoes. Let me see…I saw Christian Louboutin, Nicholas Kirkwood, Brian Atwood, Rodarte, Roger Vivier and many others, always accompanied with accessories and well placed lighting, comfortable sofas (at least, to the sight!) and the perfect atmosphere to propose to a woman!! [Great idea! :)]

In the meantime it was time to close and I left. Already with Céline ‘Shopping Bag’ out of my thoughts, but with a ‘(super)Prada’, lovely as it can be (!!!), inside my bag! =D

Mas, no dia seguinte, já a noitinha, lá fui eu! AGUEN :)

Entretanto tinha visitado o site da loja e descobri que tinham muito mais salas que aquelas que eu tinha visto. Mais marcas, edições limitadas e até roupa de mulher que eu nada tinha visto anteriormente! Pois que entrei uma segunda vez, o expositor onde anteriormente estavam todas as Céline, estava hoje recheadinho de várias Balenciaga, lindas que só elas! Tive a felicidade de 'experienciar' no expositor ao lado a colecção 'prêt-a-porter' Verão 2011 Proenza Schouler, ver e tocar nos tecidos que Jack e Lazaro fizeram e criaram para esta colecção e ver que realmente aquilo trata-se de puro luxo! Tal como diz a Rachel Zoe: "-That's another level"!!
Continuei e vi uma sala muito gira... imaginem uma sala de passagem, oval, só com quadros de moldura em talha dourada, com caras estilo 'Monalisa' e cada uma com um par de óculos de sol, a sair para fora dos quadros... Lindo!
Segui para o andar de cima, roupa gira, muitas salas, e o primeiro amor de cada mulher... Sapatos. Uma sala oval, só com vitrines, recheadas de sapatos. Ora bem, vi Christian Louboutin, Nicholas Kirkwood, Brian Atwood, Rodarte, Roger Vivier e muitos outros, sempre acompanhados de acessórios e luzes bem colocadas, sofás muito confortáveis (pelo menos, á vista!) e o ambiente perfeito para se pedir uma mulher em casamento!! [Boa ideia! :)]

Entretanto estavam na hora de fechar e vim embora. Já com a Céline 'Shopping Bag' fora da ideia, mas com uma 'Pradíssima', gira que só ela (!!!), dentro do meu saco! =D

And that’s how I was happy in Barcelona!

After the collection “April Showers”, Burberry is back with a new temporary collection, of accessories only. It’s called “Explorers Collection” and it appeals to our adventure side!!
I loved some of the pieces, and I’ve got my eye in bag with two straps!

Depois da colecção "April Showers" (chuvas de abril), a Burberry volta com uma nova colecção temporária, só de acessórios. Chama-se "Explorers Collection" (colecção de exploradores) e quer juntar-se ao nosso lado de aventureiro!! Adorei algumas peças da colecção e estou de olho no saco com duas alças!

Like Burberry has got us used to, the marketing productions around each collection are excellent and this is no exception. With a video accompanying the campaign, we see bags, shoes, scarves, glasses and watches… which show us that this collection promises to be a success, following so many others. It is still unknown if it’s going to be annual, but for what I’ve seen, seems pretty good, following through, the other trend of the season : Urban Jungle!!

Como a Burberry já nos habituo as produções de marketing a volta de cada colecção são excelentes e esta não fica atrás. Com um video a acompanhar a campanha, vemos malas, sapatos, lenços, óculos e relógios... que nos mostra que esta promete ser mais uma colecção de sucesso, seguindo tantas outras. Ainda não sabemos se vai ser anual, mas pelo que ja vi, parece-me bastante bem, dando seguimento a outra tendência da estação: Urban Jungle!!

Haider Ackermann

At first I didn’t like the spring/summer 2011 collection (at all), but then his fashion show for the next winter started a riot in my mind and more. As I said before, Ackermann is in my opinion one of the promissory geniuses in the world of fashion.

Comecei por não gostar (de todo) da colecção para o verão 2011, mas o seu desfile para o próximo inverno gerou uma revolução na minha cabeça e não só. Como já tinha dito anteriormente, Ackermann para mim é um dos génios promissores no mundo da moda.

In this show Ackermann based himself in contrasts, being mysterious but at the same time elegant. He created a silhouette full of contradictions almost impossible to describe.

Beautiful and elegant. Confuse, yet clean. I particularly enjoyed watching the show in video. It was presented in a poetic and moving atmosphere which shows us in the best way possible, the perfect cut, sumptuous and sophisticated created by Ackermann. The models walked slowly, so that everyone could observe the details, impossible to regard in a fast and loud presentation, it resulted in a calm and cohesive. Which I think it’s a great idea to be adopted by other creators (unless that’s the wanted result).

Neste desfile Ackermann baseou-se em contrastes, sendo misterioso mas ao mesmo tempo elegante. Criou uma silhueta cheia de contradições quase impossível de descrever.

Linda e elegante. Confusa, mas limpa. Gostei principalmente de ver o desfile em video. Foi realizado num ambiente poético e comovente, que mostra da melhor maneira o corte perfeito, majestoso e sofisticado criado por Ackermann. As modelos em passo lento de maneira a ser possível visualizar detalhes, impossíveis de ser vistos num desfile barulhento e apressado, tornou tudo mais calmo e coeso. O que acho uma excelente ideia a ser aplicada por outros criadores (a não ser que não seja o pretendido!).

As I researched a little more on Ackermann, I found that he had done a male collection, for the first time, for this summer!

In the male fashion show for the 2011 summer, the so referred silhouette, also applied in the following female collections, seems to be inspired in samurais somewhere lost in a North African desert! A stylish and cohesive nomad.

Ao pesquisar um pouco mais sobre Ackermann, descobri que fez uma colecção masculina pela primeira vez para este Verão!

No desfile masculino para o Verão 2011 a tão referida silhueta, também aplicada nas colecções femininas seguintes, parece inspirada em samurais algures perdidos num deserto no norte de África! Um nómada estiloso e coerente.

I think it results beautifully and even though it’s not my style of clothing, i find some of the pieces incredible. The ideal would be to create an editorial with these clothes! Possibly in a North African desert, with magic lamps and flying carpets …Like a 21st century Aladin. (I’m kind of fitting in the developments of Artur characters’! Sounds good…)

Acho que resulta muito bem e para além de pessoalmente não ser bem o meu estilo de roupa, acho algumas peças incríveis. O ideal era mesmo realizar um editorial com estas roupas! Num deserto no norte de África, com lamparinas mágicas e tapetes voadores... Provavelmente sendo o Aladino do séc. XXI. (estou-me a introduzir no desenvolvimento de personagens do Artur! sounds good...)

Paris Fashion Week | Fall Winter 2011 »Part II«

This is the last post about the international Fashion Weeks, for the Fall 2011/2012.

P.S. I’ll soon post my coverage of ModaLisboa and Portugal Fashion (and I have so much to tell you!).For the past three weeks my time was zero, but now I’ll try to show you, how it was my experience in the two most important events of fashion in Portugal.

Haider Ackerman, in my opinion it’s the new 'big name' of the Fashion Industry (even Karl Lagerfeld, said it!). He came up with a new

silhouette with a very interesting design. Introduced colors like dark greens and petrol blue (wich I love!). My favorite look of this collection

is shown above in the middle. I love it! And don't forget, put Ackerman on the top of the it-list! He's the new 'big name'!!

Hermés, is no longer in the hands of Gaultier... now Christophe Lemaire is taking the lead, and he's here to succeed. His first collection

with a nomadic notion of travel, inspired on the orientalism, emerged with soft colors like white, browns, greys and little touches of the

classic orange of this 'maison'. A simple collection but a new discover to the world of Hermés, showed at the new Hermés flag.ship in Paris.

Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs are the perfect duo, and this collection proves it. Marc Jacobs is in arch provocateur mode, exploring and

exploding the meaning of fetishes. My favorite pieces of the collection were, the rubber dominatrix boots (instant hit), see-through flasher

macs, and let's not forget the lace-ups that exposed a bare expanse of Kate Moss' thighs below retro briefs.

Lanvin by Alber Elbaz is always a high moment of Fashion Week, the entire Fall collection was about the endless problems, of working with

one of fashion's most mystique-laden fabrics (Gazar), that Elbaz says is "So difficult" to work! But it seems so easy... sumptuous

silhouettes with perfect cuts are everywhere. Shiny colors like yellow, orange or fluo pink were worn at the end of the show, creating the

perfect scenery for the closer of this story! Love it, as always..

Jean Paul Gaultier, message for this show was: 'You're never too old for a little striptease.' Models and guests could prove this rule in

the Gaultier show, Models doing it and the guests enjoying the scene! Trench-coats in leather and wool, leather gloves and so many

special clothes ended up on the same place, the floor. But nobody got worried, because this is Fashion. This is Gaultier!

Valentino is taking the lead! In the hands of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, the romantic style and the nudes have become a

new signature of the house, just like the studs in the shoes and dresses. The silhouette is simple and clear, like a t-shirt, and this makes

sense to the women of today. This is for a woman who doesn't have a red carpet to walk every night of the week.

Stella McCartney, continues the trend introduced a month before at the Marc Jacobs show in New York. The polka-dots! This trend was

shown by Stella with a lot of transparencies, making the feminine silhouette more special and sensual. These sexy dresses will be definitely

a popular trend to follow next Fall. Also shiny clothes in gold and silver made this show evolve "to the next level", said Stella, with

aggressive, masculine silhouettes, in dresses, jumpsuits and coats.

Yves Saint Laurent in the headed by Stefano Pilati, continues with the rigor and the sensuality of, the masculine silhouette into the

women wardrobe. With the sense of strict elegance in black and white, visiting the 60's and the 70's at Saint Laurent. A simple, but

powerful architecture. That's it.

Sorry! I'm late!!

I know this fashion week has passed by... but now it's time to do a review and think about the trends for the next Fall!

This is the first part, and some of my favorite shows are here...!

Chanel, as always had a stunning show, this time Karl Lagerfeld decided to recreate a dark forest... The clothes were also dark but always glamorous. I love the men look with reinterpretation of the classic Chanel coat!Also the new lock of the classic bag, Chanel 2.55 is marvelous and i love it!

Besides of Karl Lagerfeld, in my opinion, one of the geniuses of this Fashion generation is Alexander McQueen. Now the brand in the hands of Sara Burton, is still growing and the collections are growing season to season. For the Fall 2011/2012 the collection is in black/white and grey, also with little details of orange. The theme of the collection "The Ice Queen and her court", makes sence when we look to each look and we can see white queens, covered in feathers, leather and zippers that makes the feminine silhouette just perfect.

Balenciaga, one of my favourite brands, now in the hands of Nicholas Ghesquiére came with a collection with a game of proportions, with a zooming in on textures. "Elegant and effortless, this was realism trumping surrealism" said Tim Blanks and he's right! Why does Balenciaga doesn't exist in Portugal? WHY?
The military style remains in the Balmain collection, and Christophe Decarnin continues leading his troupe. Sequins all over dresses and leather trousers in shiny colors. All of these things are well-done styling with simple sweaters in black, white or blue. The glam-rock is in the house, and Balmain still's rock'in. (Even if his creative director "is under doctor's orders to rest after being treated for an unconfirmed illness alternately rumored to be depression or exhaustion." said Tim Blanks from Style.com).

Céline, the brand of the moment in terms of it-bags, came with bits of color in yellow, marron or blue. This brand is nothing more than classic and its why everybody in fashion world loves Phoebe Philo. Céline is rehinvented with turtle-necks, statement coats and outstanding bags. The iPad case it's an absolutely must-have, and the doctor's bag have to be seen by every women eyes.

The most discussed Fashion Show of the season was Christian Dior, everything was around John Galliano being dismissed of the house of Dior. His final collection was one of the bests from him, in Dior. The sign of Dior was there, and the classic "New-look", was in coats and dresses. A very romantic collection, with a soft-pink scheme of colors. "Colors were rich, textures were lush, and there was a layered lounche-ness that amplified the bohemian theme."

Now the question that everyone is asking... "Who will take the place of John Galliano?" (Ricardo Tisci's and Carine Roitfeld?? I think so...!)

Chloé is also another brand that is growing. The camel of past collections give his place to colors of this season. The 70's have now snakeskin, and patterns. Patchwork of python printed in different colors, and different silhouettes stills classic and making sense with the label of Chloé.

Dries Van Noten, a very respectful designer continues his work, after an amazing Spring collection that everybody loved (i loved it too!). For this Fall, Van Noten was inspired by David Bowie and the Ballets Russes, and the similarities between this two worlds. Extravagant patterns in amazing coats and silk skirts, make this collection one of the bests from this Fashion Week.

Giambattista Valli is an amazing new name in this industry. I just love his work, and season to season the collections are even better! With splash of colors, or in black and white, the cut of the pieces are just delightful things for my eyes. This new silhouettes really inspires me and make me feel that FASHION IS ART.

Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci (so far! ahaha) is takin my breath away! Black Panters, transparency, flower patterns and an it-collor, "the yellow". Sweet and romantics black skirts over transparent ones, were definitly a wonderful idea. Givenchy is still a great label, and also has one of the best bags! I love very VERY much, some of them!! So congrats to Tisci's work and we hope that he still doing a great job!

Milan continues with a lots of Collections...

This week will be crazy... with the end of Paris Fashion Week, and the start of Lisbon Fashion Week (ModaLisboa), the one i'll be presenting alive here on the RFSPblog! Wait to see it...!

So, I hope you like my choices!

Jil Sander
Jil Sander, last season show us a new and revolutionary silhouette. Lots of color and magic bags! This season the silhouette stays but the colors have changed... A little bit more dark but amazingly combined. The flower patterns are beautifully well done and the bags are structured and a bit colored. I love the simple dresses, the grey and the yellow one's are just beautifull.

Moschino
This collection is funny and glamourous. The glasses, the earings and the suits... Everything is made to shine! But my favourite piece of the entire collection is the simple black dress (shown under at the right!) Simple but magnificent!!

Prada
This is pure sugar! This is one of the best collections for this season, Prada surprise us one more time. Every single look is gorgeous, the colors and the materials are just brilliant. I love the bags and the shoes... And my favourite looks are the first one in white (shown above at the left), and the more plastic (the second one, shown under at the right). This collection, certainly puts fashion in another level!

Versace
Strong colors, a strong silhouette, fur and leather... Everything is mixed to combine in one word: Versace. Just love the dresses (shown under) in black and white whith fur, prepared to look amazingly and show some great legs!! Love it!

Salvatore Ferragamo
Ferragamo is now in black/white! Glamourous looks for a strong woman with the right attitude. Dresses, suits, black leather trench coats and amazing shoes...! Each look show us a powerfull woman with a perfect grey suit, or just a simple sexy dress. I just love the look made of a shinny dress with a coat, used as a cape.

Emilio Pucci
Extremely hot, sexy and powerfull. Sexy womans in amazing dresses, saying pucci all over it! Just love Ana Selezneva, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, Isabeli Fontana, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Natasha Poly and Anja Rubik in this looks!! The make-up and the hair-style are also amazing!
Just love the sex-appeal of this collection...!

Dolce & Gabbana
Music and stars are the inspirational effects that puts the Dolce&Gabbanna collection on the hit-list of Milan. Androgynous looks, making womans more masculines... But also sexy and feminine dresses. The 'Miss Sicily' bags are now more beautifull and shiny... Thats your opportunity to shine...

Roberto Cavalli
Cavalli is now more wild and beautifull. Strong looks, whith a lot of attitude, this womens are... fabulous! This is powerfull. I love the shoes, the dresses, the coats, scarfs and also bags! Be strong... be Cavalli!

RFSP BLOG & 'Time Out Lisboa'

I had the pleasure to be invited to participate in an article for the 'Time Out Lisboa' magazine, with other amazing bloggers!!

I want to thank 'Time Out Lisboa' Magazine, but specially to Ana Garcia Martins (also knowed as 'A Pipoca Mais Doce'!), the fantastic journalist who did the interviews, and to Joana Freitas, the photographer behind the lens!!

Milan Fashion Week | Fall Winter 2011 »Part I«

Milan is over... So, now its time to review and think in soo many information for just a few days!!

In this post we have some of the many shows presenting there! It will continue in »Part II«, but now enjoy this information and the things that i like in some of this shows!

Fendi
Fendi, like past season, come to me like a beautiful dream, with so many colors and new silhouettes. Love the bags, the headbands and the 'somethind-bigger-than-a-papillon'!! (i don't know the specific name of that!, btw) :)

The collection is very beautiful, the colors, textiles including the fur on the coats and the simple bags... that i like pretty much! Love the mix of colors in some outfits, like the blue skirt with orange pantyhose, and the brown skirt with the yellow pantyhose and a blue shirt...

Alberta Ferreti
Alberta Ferreti, have always a romantic taste! Sparkling dresses, transparencys, and color-blocking! Everything made this collection a success. The blues are the high of this collection in coats and dresses... I also love the coats with many colors... mixing blue, orange, purple, red and pink!!

Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta, this season brings a lot of color, the continuation of many collections from past season, for the Summer2011! Now we have different looks in orange, pink, yellow and also gold! The characteristic bags from Bottega Veneta are now vivide and alive, i love the 'Knot' cluth, and i think that every 'classy' woman should have one!!!

Gucci
Gucci repeats the facts from last season, with color-blocking, and silhouettes from the 70's. Fur, fur and lots of fur! Soo many colors in hats, jackets, shirts and cardigans. Also the few dresses at the end of the show with a lot of transparency and flowers, mixing bright colors with black, were stunning! Gucci is Gucci and also the bags are gorgeous...!
The key to a fantastic style? Just bring to Winter a bit of Summer, with so much colours like Frida Giannini did in this show...!

Max Mara
Max Mara, brings a pure collection in soft colors. White and grey are the key of this collection, but also black leather and camel invades this runway! The bag in the image, is just perfect! The union of the zippers are so beautiful and the grey leather, perfection!

The sunglasses and the shoes are also perfect items to add to the 'wish-list'!! Don't you think?

London Fashion Week | Fall Winter 2011 »Part II«

This is London Fashion Week, part II!

Paris Fashion Week, starts this week and we are going crazy with so many information to digest! But show after show, our love for fashion gets bigger! So... doesn't matter.

Milan is on the way but we don't forget the London brands and designers!
Here is the last post for the London Fashion Week, Winter 2011 season. New collections and new ideas are on the table, let's digest it in the most glory's way... =D

Paul Smith
Paul Smith have always a great show! Like for the past season, he decides to explore the masculine style and attitude at the feminine body! For me, it results perfectly! The tuxedo's, jeans, cardigans with white shirts and with an apropried tie and also the hair is extremely well done! I love this looks. The glasses and the bags are amazing! I want this brown leather bag! It have, absolutly, my name on it!!!

Mulberry
Mulberry, knowned by a particulary type of bags, show us some clothes with embroydered flowers, great shoes and as expected, stunning bags! The classic bag is now reinterpretated in a new way, one in green with a shoulder strap and the other in camel with silver details!

Marios Schwab
Marios Schwab, surprises me soo much! The details of this collection are absolutly amazing. I love the little pearl details in the dresses... Designing the womens body... Delicious! The color like orange and blues gives to this collection the glamour that it deserves.

Acne
Acne is modern, young and atractive! I love the new shapes of the shoes! The skirts, trousers and specific pieces in amazign fabrics! I just love the details of the transparency's outside the jeans! The effect is pretty good and with those shoes that are amazing, the look is complete!

Holly Fulton
Holly Fulton is always interactive and brings her collection in a funny way! Details like, the sky-line of a city, lips, and vivide colors like yellow, red and blue all of them mixed with black and white. I love the Louboutin shoes, and the earings with black lips! So funny! Also the Blue/black/white dress with the sky-line and rivers (i think!) are extremelly gorgeous!

David Koma
David Koma, shows her black dresses with circles effects! The dresses have faces with unusual colors, fur in funny places... The shoes for me are amazing! I love the entire platform, and also the heel in an extremely unusual beauty!

London Fashion Week | Fall Winter 2011 »Part I«

I know, i know... I'm late!
But its better later than never! Right? =D

So, London Fashion Week, always give us a different taste of the others fashion weeks! Here the things are different and very british! Relaxed and sophisticated...

Now I show you some of the best shows from this Fashion Week, and as soon as possible I'll show you the second part of this post! Ok?

Burberry Prorsum
For me is (almost!) always the high of the top, of the London Fashion Week! This collection is very collorfull at the beggining, whith structured jackets, as another magnificent reinterpretation of the 'trench' by Christopher Bailey! But, for me, the top of this collection are the black/white jackets in cotton at the end of the show! This lightweight wool silk trench coats, with fabulous detailing, including the wood silk with cable knit finishing and lace-ups in black leather. I love them...

Aquascutum
Aquascutum in terms of collor pallete are magnific! I love the blues mixed with orange and camel... The coats are very nice and i love the fur details on the gloves! The styling are very good, and it feels soo warm and confortable that i just want to embrace some looks! xD.

Mary Katrantzou
Mary Katrantzou with her glorious patterns, gave me again a huge smile! I love the patterns and the silhouette, but i think that this is more of the same, of the past collections! I love her designs and her work, and the Louboutin boots are fabulous with the outfits!

Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane, came with a great collection. For me "the extraordinary plastic trims that arrived to infect severe black shift dresses", (like said Tim Blanks) were the funny part, of the collection (and that's the part that we discover that Kane is a pure genius!). And where the idea came from? The collection's starting point was a simple challenge: "Let's find a textile that's never been used." Said Kane.

Pringle of Scotlan
Pringle of Scotland's collection is a mix of patterns, colors, fur, leather and soft detailings in each piece! The fur sleeves and also the boots are simple details that i love. The orange trousers came from the past season but are in the perfect mood for this Fall! Love it!

Michael Kors
Michael Kors celebrate's this year, 30 years in the Fashion Business!!! Congratulations...! =D
And for celebrate, this collection came in a perfect timing!
As always, simple cuts, long dresses, fur and transparency... Camel, black and red are the colors for this Kors season! I like Kors, and his show at New York is always a pleasure to see!

3.1 Phillip Lim
3.1 Phillip Lim, was a shocking surprise! In a good way...! The accessories, are just perfects! I love the coats, and their collar's. I love the colors, the materials... but the green in some pants and skirts were just a fabulous detail! I loove it...

Proenza Schouler
Proenza Schouler was soo great! I love the first looks, so simple but colorfull. The coats are awesome and the mix of prints in the most part of the looks are just the perfect way to Jack and Lazaro express their love for Fashion, designing their own prints! I think they'r perfect...

Rodarte
Rodarte is a peace of heaven... The inspiration (the movie 'Days of Heaven' by Terrence Malick) and the result of that is extremely well done! The dresses with the sky and the wheat field are so inspiring! The colors, the cut of each piece the embroydery or the polka dots! Everything is soo romantic and just like candys for the eyes! Je t'aime! :)

Victoria Beckam
I think that Victoria Beckam is a case of extremely good taste. Dot! The collection is a bit colorfull but also with a taste of earth-tones. I love the bags, the accessories, the dresses, shoes... everything. Everytime i see a new collection of her, i have always a bigger surprise! Just loving her work.

Rachel Zoe
Rachel Zoe. Pregnant and Fashion Designer! =D Ok. No kidding! Ahahah
This collection don't have a Fashion Show! Yet. But, I think is extremely wearable, as expected, but the opposite of Rachel Zoe style. Don't you think? She said it, and now we prove it! Elegant, Chic and Modern... this is the 'Rachel Zoe' woman!

Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang, for me, was the suprise of the entire Fashion Week. The perfect way that he matche's different types of textiles is absolutely fabulous. The colors are very Wang and the silhuette respects her name too! I love this collection, like i love the different 'mood' of his collection for this Spring Summer2011. Love it!

Altuzarra
Many people liked very much this Altuzarra show... Here ladies are really dressed for Fall! And like Garance Doré said: is "like the girls were all movie stars escaped from the Oscars, simply tossing on an overcoat over their red-carpet dresses."
The dresses are very simple, but with gorgeous colors. Also knit-sweaters are all around, like fur and, of corse, the overcoats!!

Donna Karan
Donna Karan, was a beautifull and glamorous show. I did not like the Spring Summer 2011 Collection that much, but I think, this collection is the perfect way to I forget that fact! A 'Dior-inspired-silhuette", was the way of celebrate the women's curves, and I just love that! Also the soft pink on the lips and the very romantic details all over the looks is just 'over-the-top'!! Love the shoes too! Magnificent...

Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs, inspired on the 70's, shows us soo many polka dots! Yes, this is absolutely 'the' trend for next Fall, and why? Marc Jacobs explains himself that this "new collection was a reaction against the loose, fluid feeling of his Spring outing." "I wanted something strict and severe," he said. Funny is the certain way to define that... i think!

Marc by Marc Jacobs gave me soo hapiness! The male bags are just awesome! The principal colors of this collection are orange and browns. Also great patterns with 'bambis' (or something like that!), in bags and dresses! Is really great see these collection on the runway, cause this is one of the collections that i can see personally in stores... in Lisbon!

Jason Wu
Jason Wu have always a great collection. The gorgeous dresses embroydered with swarovski crystals, amazing feathers dresses and beautifull pumps! I just love all the styling and all the ambience of this runwayshow! It's soo chic!

Paris | Haute Couture SS2011 »Part II«

This is the second and the last part of the Couture Week in Paris for Spring Summer 2011!

With:
*Elie Saab, and his 'Oscar' dresses! All women love this guy, and i love him too, because of the fantastic and amazing job that he do in each collection of each season! Just loove!

*Armani Privé, became in a very futuristic way, in a dark mood but with shiny clothes for shiny people!

*Givenchy, by Ricardo Tisci comes with an absolutely brilliant collection, that is one of the best collections for this season (in Couture!). The way that the collection is structured, and the color is worked, make realistic the way that 'Tisci' is think in the fashion industry. His a genius and this collections is part of it!

Elie Saab
There was plenty of décolleté, and sinuous limbs slipping out from skirts that were, at times, almost too split, but what today's show really evoked was the up-to-the-neck missy-ness of Norma Shearer, an Oscar winner from centuries ago. One long tulle and organza gown, piled with flowers at the shoulder and tied with grosgrain at the waist, would surely have driven La Shearer into a paroxysm of desire. Coupled with the exceptionally sweet hair and makeup, this peculiar sense of propriety took Saab's collection into territory that was new for him. It was certainly a world away from the sparks struck by his last Couture show. Just look at the bride—last time, she shimmered with hints of gold. Here, her gown drooped with organza flowers and tatters of mousseline, and her veil was almost shroudlike.

Armani Privé
When Giorgio Armani presented his made-to-order Armani Privé collection near Place Vendôme Monday evening to the likes of Sophia Loren, Jodie Foster, and Olivia Wilde, he was thinking of, Lady Gaga. Clearly, Armani is gaga for Gaga. How else does one explain that shiny molded techno-fabric that looked like it was specially created for Tron (it is, in fact, a silk-nylon blend)? Or the crystal-strung dresses that looked like three-dimensionally rendered animation (and had a touch of the gown he designed for the one-woman multimedia sensation of last year’s Grammy Awards)? Or, indeed, the sleek dome of an ovoid hat, or a glistening cage mask that would be great for the likes of Gaga on the red carpet because, really, who else would be wearing it, while perhaps not so effective for the A-list types Armani has dressed for years.

Givenchy
As you’ll gather at first glance by looking at these photographs, Givenchy did not have a couture show for spring—at least not in the conventional sense. The pictures here show front and back views of each of the long, Japanese-inflected designs Riccardo Tisci made this season—ten dresses which were expressly designed never to be exposed to the roar of the runway. Instead, he hung these clothes suspended in light, in a kind of exhibition, so that both reviewers and clients could take time to view them at inches-range, and reach out and touch, if we wished.
This way of presenting gave Tisci both the opportunity to describe the derivation of his ideas—an abstract homage to the Butoh dancer Kazuo Ohno, who recently died at the age of 103, (with added reference to Japanese robot-toys: the horned hats)—to prove just what goes into the work of couture, and to answer the questions it raised, such as: Why no daywear?

As i promise, now i'm comming with the coverage of the entire Paris | Haute Couture Week!

This is »Part I«, and in this post i'll show you:
*Christian Dior by John Galliano, doing what he nows at his best! Amazing dresses inspired at the 'New Look', with soft colors in dégrade, that puts our eyes crying like there's no tomorrow!

*Valentino, now in the hands of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. They show us magnific dresses in great soft colors, some of them in a quite transparency but all of them soo lovely.

*Jean Paul Gaultier, gave us a incredible show, as always. But this time he mixed the punk look with 'can-can' dolls!! Are you curious? Just read this post 'till the end...

Christian Dior
Shape-wise, there was no deviation from the nipped-waist bar jacket, the pencil-line skirts, the swirling fan-pleat circle skirts, and the grand ball gowns with which Christian Dior dictated postwar fashion. Camp and extravagant as it was, though, in close-up, this wasn’t quite vintage reconstruction to the letter. Galliano’s obsession with the way Gruau caught the fall of light on color was mimicked in fine graduations of tulle minutely collaged in increasing densities to shade in folds of peplum and bubble jackets, the highlights picked out in streaks of sequin, the collar lapels visually blurred with raw-edged trims.

Valentino
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli chose the house specialty, pleating, as a central motif—a good choice, since it's around this spring, and no one can achieve it (with minutely narrow ribbons of lace, or hundreds of fan-like ripples of chiffon, hand-pressed with an iron) like the Valentino seamstresses in Rome. Technique alone, however, can't lift a collection unless it has some connection or contribution to the way fashion is thinking. This one gently hit the mark with its contradictions between long lengths, high collars, and wrist-length sleeves, and the fact that so much was semitransparent (though never blatant). In this curious transitional moment when body-con feels incredibly old, yet girls are reluctant to sacrifice a show of leg, these Valentino dresses—and the quiet eroticism beneath their innocent prettiness—seem poised in exactly the right place.

Jean Paul Gaultier
British punk meets Paris cancan: Oh, it takes genius to make such an appalling-sounding fashion trope even the slightest bit forgiveable. On this occasion, though—barely credible as it may seem—Jean Paul Gaultier took mohawks, studs, and leather jackets, married them with the girls of the Moulin Rouge, and came out with a defining triumph, soaring from grimy guttersnipe-style to a French level of sophistication which makes the rest of the world spit.

Narrative fashion shows can be annoying these days, especially when one’s considering a designer like Gaultier, with a past that wends back to the eighties. But this time, his revisitings of sailor stripes—brilliant horizontal organza ruffles on Lindsey Wixson—and corsetry, now merged into both a tailcoat jacket and a cancan costume, somehow seemed simpler, more relevant, and full of energy.

My lack of time just delay this and the other posts about this Fashion Week, but I promise that they will be right here in a couple of days!

For me Chanel Haute Couture is always a pleasure to admire, and the many things, like backstage and rehearsals images, that Chanel puts into their web-site Chanel News, are just hours of my life, trying to understand this world, and the wonderfull thing that Haute Couture is nowadays...

At that moment, Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, known as Coco, arrived on the scene with her hands in her pockets and a cigarette between her lips. She was surrounded by an air of nonchalance, eternal allure and insane elegance in her wonderfully fluid jersey suits and dresses, which went on to represent a real liberation for women. It seemed a natural step but someone had to invent it, someone had to have the confidence and the talent to understand what women wanted, longed for, even before they knew it themselves. Was Chanel a revolutionary, a prophet? Absolutely!

Paris | Men's Fashion Week »Part II«

This is »Part II« of my favourite collections of Paris Menswear Fashion Week!

Here i show you:
*Louis Vuitton with desirable bags (as always), in new colours like the a.ma.zing orange in the bags and pants, and (of course!) the magnificent eyewear, that is a trully Must-Have item to 2011/2012Winter season.

*Lanvin, with a marvelous way of layers, with 'turtle-neck sweaters' under a white shirt, which are under a cashmere pullover, and all of this layers are under a beautifull blazer! AWESOME!!!

*Givenchy, that gave us a 'gangsta' collection, with many things that are common in the womans wardrobe, like boots laced up to the knee, and collants under black shorts. Riccardo Tisci puts them in the men's ones to! A trully unexpectable collection with pitbull prints, that in this second are the most wanted items of many guys!

*Balmain, that comes with a collection whitout runwayshow! But with a magnific styling, wich put in the collection a great sense of style and colour/textile mixing. Navy and millitary coats, are the trend of the season (for this brand!), with always a great scarf. I think that the camel coat with fur, are now on the wishlist of soo many people! (Not in mine, btw!)

Louis Vuitton
You know that scene at the beginning of 2001: A Space Odyssey, when they are flying Pan Am Airlines to the moon? That's kinda like the clothes in this Louis Vuitton collection this season: Suits and jackets that are modern but also a bit ahead of the curve, a bit in the future. Clothes that are not for mere plebian jet-setters, but true rocket-setters. When Richard Branson begins regular space flights on Virgin Rockets, we imagine a fair amount of the passengers will be dressed in Vuitton.

Lanvin
You got your full, wide pants and you got your slim pants. That, in a nutshell, is this collection: a mix of opposites. Where a man can wear a dusty-rose jacket, but also a strong fitted black suit or topcoat. It's a lush-feeling collection with a dose of '70s glam and swagger.

Givenchy
Think of it as Samurai B-Boy. Clothes that are rough in their roots (skater-like shorts over black tights) but refined in their cut. These are duds made for dudes like Kanye and Drake: Guys who are not shy about wearing bold tailored classics with an extra wattage of rockstar, featuring pitbull prints, monochromatic mixing, finishes of fur and boots laced up to the knee, and beyond. These clothes are not afraid to swagger.

Balmain
Christophe Decarnin likes to say Balmain Homme isn't a collection; it's a wardrobe. The military jackets that were such a sensation for the ladies have their analogues here in silver-buttoned peacoats. There's a big emphasis on outerwear in this Fall collection, including a raccoon-hooded parka and an enormous shearling coat. The brand's big splash came from its stretchy, paneled Biker jeans, which are here again, but so is a simpler, straight-leg model of Japanese extraction. Styled in piled-on layers, Decarnin's look can be very aggressive. But piece by piece, its simplicity is its strength.

Paris | Men's Fashion Week »Part I«

Last week, Paris gave us more Menswear collections for the 2011/2012 Winter.

In this post I show you some of my favourite collections.
Including the "a-little-bit-colorfull" Hermés, the "i-want-that-bag" Dior Homme, the "very-very-nice-coats" Pauls Smith and the "perfect-fit-coats-with-fur" Dries Van Noten.

The Menswear collectins are better then never, and menswear continues the fight to be more relevant and interesting for the fashion world, and to the rest of the world too! I'm with them!! :)

»PartII« is coming..

Hermés
A bold feel for Hermès, probably the youngest-looking collection in years, in terms of cut and style and fit. Suits—made less for the office and more for the family-board of directors meeting, or a night at the underground casino in Abu Dhabi—are trim and cropped and not as loose as previous seasons; colors are energetic and yet classic in their details: double vents; double-breasted; strong shoulders. (And if you need a shearling-lined leather jumpsuit, they gots that too!)

Dior Homme
An exercise in stripped-downedness. There's an ascetic Asian feel, but also an Amish-gets-rich note to it all. If someone ever did a badass re-make of "Witness" it'd be cool to have Harrison Ford rock this.

Paul Smith
The rugged bohemian. Chambray shirts and camel toggle coats that have a loose and nonchalant California feel. But this is Paul Smith and there's always going to be a nod to his Swinging London roots: like the over-sized furry coats and slim trousers that would look right on a Stones '67 tour.

Dries Van Noten
The son of a menswear shop owner and grandson of a tailor, Van Noten founded his own line in 1986. While still best known for his womenswear, Van Noten has gained increasing notice over the past decade for his men's collections, in particular his architectural take on suiting.
About this collection? Continental and cerebral, but rarely minimal

This is the »Part II« of my favourite collections of Menswear in Milan, to the Winter 2011/2012.
Paris is on the way, and i promise i'll post about the best collection of Paris too!

Soo, tell me? What's your favourite collection of the season, so far??

Prada
A retro-feeling collection ranging far and wide: Suits that are cut loose and boxy, like a '50s sack suit; shiny T-shirts (very Ziggy Stardust) over brown V-neck sweaters; super trim trousers that feel pre-Beatles era; and maroon jackets that have a mid-'70s L.A. vibe.
Salvatore Ferragamo
A surfeit of swanky '70s swagger. A little bit Lizard King (Jim Morrison) and a little bit Clyde Frazier (double-breasted suits in teal and maroon) and a little bit McCloud (an Italian take on the rancher shearling), all bookended with suits in rich, soft whites and tans.

Versace
What the well-dressed motocross (or Matrix) enthusiast is wearing. It's a rough, tough—but still refined—season: Camel coats and rich black topcoats paired with severe and studded black leather belts (very Matrix-y) balanced by rich cashmere coats and suits, some in shocks of blue.
Z Zegna
Theatrical, colorful, and occasionally eccentric departures from its more traditional parent.
(Launched in 2004 as Ermenegildo Zegna's younger, more fashion-forward collection, the Z Zegna line now accounts for about 15 percent of its parent company's bottom line. Design head Alessandro Sartori grew up in a small mountain town renowned for the wool it produced for Zegna, and Sartori—his surname is Italian for "tailor"—has spent virtually his entire career with the company.)

Milan | Men's Fashion Week »Part I«

From the past five days, Milan gave us his Men's Fashion Week for the Winter 2011/2012.
I didn't have time to post about every detail, as i would like, but now i show you my favourite collections from this Fashion Week.

This is »Part I«, because many shows thrilled my eyes!!! And all of them in just one post, will be just, boring!
Soo, i hope you like my choices...

Burberry Prorsum
Burberry's designer Christopher Bailey loves himself some coats. And this season there are ship loads of em across a range of iconic cuts and fabrics, from a lumberjack coat in buffalo plaid to a duffel in burnt orange to vinyl slickers in shades of toffee and caramel. It's a collection that's deep in the Burberry roots, especially the two-button suits in camel, black and dark moss, but Bailey also mixes things up and reaches into all the references a modern man knows, throwing in Kangol-esque fur caps any MC would dig as well as lug-soled creepers that a new wave '80s boy would rock.

D&G
Fifty-odd years of American pop culture gets put in the Italian mix master and spun on 'high'.We've got suits in late-'60s era bold plaids paired with preppy check shirts; T-shirts with big Coca-Cola logos and Mickey Mouse images paired with bright-colored high tops and baggy jeans. There's even a Joe Namath-worthy fur coat.

Gucci
A nod to Gucci's '70s heritage. Frida Gianni takes that era's colors (dusty rose, brown, camel) and puts them on today's sharply tailored slim suits, then pairs them with shirts and ties in subtle color combinations like teal, tan and brown. This is a quieter swagger for Gucci this season, but don't think it's not a Gucci swagger through and through—not when coats come complete with a curly lamb shearling and fur collars as well as ostrich.

Jil Sander
What happens when Teutonic minimalism gets a shot of pop? This. It's like an iconic Joseph Beuys cashmere suit got left in a grade-school art room and retrofitted with bright tempera paint-colors (hyper blue, fuschia and Cheetos orange, among others) to create bold accents. Jil being Jil, the suits and sweaters and shirts are still cut slim and form-fitting, just like the cropped, quilted overcoats that have the feel of '60s Gstaad ski patrol coats.

What happened to the Grand Palais? Erased, vaporised, replaced by a stone dream, an extraordinary 18th century garden, which is also a cinematographic experience… Tuesday October 5th, 2800 unbelievably calm spectators, fascinated like children, are fixed in time. Something special is happening. There is elegance. There is poetry. Three fountains flow, the Lamoureux symphony orchestra and its 80 morning-coated musicians provide an offbeat magical note for the show. We are definitely with Chanel, in 2011.

The keyword for the collection is lightness. Lightweight fabrics, an abundance of voile in black or decorated with exquisite patterns, delicate meshes of fine tulle. A profusion of feathers, for both day and evening, feathers embroidered on tweed, on the bottom of short dresses and perfect feather ruffs, feather sleeves, feathers everywhere – take, for example, the pale orange ostrich feather dress – so simple, so sensual.

Creating desire means revealing, but concealing even more: pale grey or white jeans with holes, cleverly placed tears in a jacket, here and there, suggesting the skin below. A sequence creates a trance, the transparency of a voile dress which shows almost everything but almost nothing. Emotion. One of the collection’s emblematic pieces are mini-shorts, or rather tailored mini-shorts. We love it. It’s daring, it’s young, it’s irresistible. The model in braided tweed with metallic silver, a loose-fitting jacket and the purity of bright white stylishly redefines what, up until now, in the street, could not be described as overwhelming elegance… this playful micro-garment is no longer reserved for young girls, for Chanel it has become perfectly suitable.

In wooden wedges, embroidered boots or tantalising black leather thigh boots, in a midnight blue knit dress with a V-shaped hem, or a tweed dévorée dress, the Chanel woman knows that she is expected, she moves at her own pace. Like Karl Lagerfeld and this collection, she is a stranger to nostalgia. She appears to float towards what awaits her, a future whose only direction is freedom. And desire. Like Delphine Seyrig, the quiet muse behind this grandiose and intimate show.
