Milan Fashion Week FallWinter'13 | Menswear

This month great Menswear collections were showed at Fashion weeks like London, Milan and Paris.

Italian designers are always looking for new perspectives and point on view. Tailoring as the masterpiece and the look of menswear is now re-viewd with high-tech fabrics and luxury fur, introduced in menswear like it has been here forever.

So, let's talk about my favourite shows in Milan...

Burberry Prorsum

Burberry Prorsum

Ok. I always love Christopher Bailey's work, and this is no exception. This collection was called 'I love Classics', and sure we do. 

I always love a beautiful coat in camel or militar green, and I never resist to the great fashion experiences that Bailey always do with great high-tech materials, like the latex coats. Burberry Prorsum, for me always means Outerwear. It's all about the trench, the coats and amazing tailoring. And I don't even need to talk about the great accessories and technological advances that this brand always show us so well.

The classic Burberry pattern were in bags, scarfs and accessories, but always mixed with leopard print, seen in those amazing shoes, fur coats and beautiful iPad cases.

Oh, I forgot, don't you love those leopard print sunglasses? I'm sooo ready!!

Burberry Prorsum

Gucci

This Gucci collection is very colorful, but in a dark way. I just see beautful colors in dark shades like burgundy, olive green, and almost '50 shades of grey' in that magnificent fur coat! Clear blues opened the collection and aguen Outerwear were the masterpiece of the show, like in so many others this season.
I loved the details, like silk scarfs inside polos or turtle-necks, the luxury fabrics, and also the bags. And the tuxedos at the end of the show... So beautiful.
Did you saw Clement Chabernaud with the last look of the collection, with that coat? Ugh-mazing!

Gucci

Kenzo 

Surprisingly Kenzo is becoming one of the best young brands by the hands of Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. They are creating new house-codes from the brand and with this "Above the sky & beyond" collection, we can notice that so well. Creating a romantic and sophisticated men, inspired by the sky in graphics and cuts, including 'Tiger Fever', that is already an icon of the brand.
It's a collection that makes you dream above the sky, create fantasis and see the difference between night and day.

Kenzo

Fendi

Fendi, just a few seasons ago created their menswear line. Like the ID of the brand, it's all about fur, luxury and creativity. We notice oversized coats, capes and beautiful colors, like the magnificent yellow in that coat. Many pieces had fusion materials like a coat from leather to whool, or the red shirt showed here. I would love be in one of these coats in the freezing days that we are living, so Silvia Fendi, if you hear me (or read...) I'm here! Waiting...

Há três tipos de editoriais que têm tudo para me fazer feliz! 

1. Os já típicos da Vogue Paris, habituais em inicio de época, com dezenas de páginas, cada uma dedicada a um designer, fotografados em diversos cenários.

2. Os editoriais com várias modelos juntas, em diferentes poses, com páginas consecutivas com diferentes temas, com um styling de arrepiar.

3. E os últimos, como este aqui representado. Os que mostram "a criação" e o criador lado-a-lado! Misturados com as suas "musas" e inspirações...

A próxima "September Issue" da Vogue Americana, promete por si só ser uma edição de colecção... Com a Lady Gaga numa fabulosa capa, ultra bem vestida por Marc Jacobs numa exorbitante edição de 916 páginas (a maior edição do mundo, até hoje!).

Este editorial com o tema "The Vogue 120 - The Stylish Singers, Designers, Actors, Models, and More (Under 45) of the Moment." mostra-nos o melhor da Moda hoje em dia, em que já se incluí a futura geração de génios e meios! Sejam eles designers, modelos, actores ou cantores...

Sem dúvida, um completo objecto de desejo, a não perder!

Milan Fashion Week SS2013 | Menswear

A época para o Verão de 2013 está aberta, e a roupa de homem, como já é habito, dá o pontapé de saída nas rondas das semanas da moda.
Milão vem antes de Paris e traz frescura, bons cortes, alfaiataria moderna, grandes casas, cores frescas e tendências fortes.

Burberry Prorsum

Burberry Prorsum foi um dos primeiros desfiles e apresentou para o contentamento de todos, cores vibrantes em peles metalizadas, utilizando trench-coats, camisas, acessórios e sandálias... Os bomber jackets também se sobressaíram, ficando logo presos a inúmeras wishlists sentadas em frente à passerele. Juntamente com prints geométricos e de cores neutras, aplicados em sedas, em casacos, gravatas e calças pulverizados de cores fortes e brilhantes, somaram os ingredientes certos para esta ser uma colecção reveladora e bastante agradável apresentada por Christopher Bailey.

Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce&Gabbana trouxe um misto de emoções... A surpresa de trocar modelos por verdadeiros habitantes de Sicily (Italia), não sei se agradou ou não o publico, mas que o surpreendeu sem duvida alguma, surpreendeu! A colecção que misturava padrões de guerra italianos, com prints de riscas de vários tamanhos e cores, encaixavam-se em camisas, calções, t-shirts e calças de vários tamanhos e feitios. Os tamanhos inúmeras vezes não eram os certos, dando a ideia de as peças terem sido adquiridas do pai, ou do irmão mais velho! Uma herança vestida e apreciada por Domenico e Stefanno Gabbana. Pessoalmente gostei muito dos sapatos abertos, e de alguns prints em calções e t-shirts!

Gucci

Gucci, com o Verão de 2013 trouxe uma lufada de ar fresco, apontada por Frida Gianinni com cores claras e fortes, trazendo o arco-íris ao guarda roupa masculino, incorporado principalmente em fatos. Os prints coloridos e muito divertidos de seda em calças e casacos trouxeram grande animo a colecção e vida a peças de fundo branco já habituais no homem Gucci, mas aqui revisitados de uma forma espontânea e divertida! A minha peça favorita é o polo com o print azul, com as mangas em malha branca, lindo, lindo, e que eu usava até à exaustão!

Jil Sander

Jil Sander retornou à sua Jil Sander, mas permaneceram tantas influencias e feitios do, não esquecido, Raf Simons. Os cortes, as cores, os padrões abstractos e as sobreposições eram marcas bem grandes no trabalho de Raf, e aqui permaneceram sem me fazer impressão nenhuma. Noto uma colecção mais acessível, mas forte e coesa. Fiquei agradado e gostei bastante dos últimos looks, tanto os das bolinhas (todos adoráveis!), como os brancos, simples e lindos que fecharam o desfile.

Prada

Prada "Goes Minimal", e o publico quase nem teve tempo para digerir o tão pouco que estava a ver. Tudo muito parecido, quase igual, quase androgeno, numa filosofia minimalista e básica. Gostei mesmo muito das geometrias nos polos, camisas e casacos. As partes de cima são todas apetitosas e lindas, e as cores nada esperáveis são harmoniosas, bonitas e coesas. Já é de mim, mas não gostei das sandálias, nem dos blocos de cor aplicados nas calças... Miuccia Prada deixa-nos sempre algo para digerir lentamente e faz-nos sempre pensar no significado e sentido das coisas, mesmo não existindo um! Gostei muito do desfile e dos looks femininos que deram grande animo a colecção e completaram o sentido do minimal aplicado a todos.

  

Salvatore Ferragamo

Salvatore Ferragamo deu um grande giro, e tornou-se fresco, jovem, divertido e desinibido. Cores vibrantes, claras e animadas preencheram todas as roupas, conjugadas com branco em pinceladas animadas em pequenos detalhes na roupa ou em apontamentos nos acessórios. Eu, que não sou nada apreciador deste tipo de ténis desportivos, fiquei rendido a este modelos nestas cores, que usava sem pensar duas vezes! Divertidos, simples e práticos. Uma verdadeira surpresa!



Também em Milão, adorei o desfile de Valentino, super usável e muito masculino, com apontamentos de verde tropa e camuflados, misturado com amarelos, castanhos e clutchs maravilhosas quase em todos os looks! Vejam a colecção completa AQUI.

Pre-Fall 2012 Collections'

Hello Everyone!

As pré-colecções para o Inverno começam a chegar, e desde cedo começam a deliciar os nossos olhos e a mostrar-nos coisas boas! Até agora, na minha opinião, têm surgido muito boas colecções, simples e usáveis que exploram novos materiais, texturas e silhuetas.

Ficam aqui algumas das que mais gostei... 

(até agora, porque ainda estão muitas para vir!)

Thakoon

Thakoon, um dos novos e proeminentes designers de Nova Iorque, tem vindo a surpreender cada vez mais e já consta na minha lista de favoritos! Numa colecção maioritariamente em cores pastel, apresenta novos materiais e silhuetas muito femininas. Gostei do apontamento de make-up em alguns lábios de várias cores, do styling e na delicadeza das peças, que parecem muito confortáveis e atractivas para uma mulher cosmopolita, mas muito feminina.

Burberry Prorsum

Burberry Prorsum, já nos habituou a  sobretudos, casacos e gabardines de excelente qualidade e cada vez mais, com designs bastante atractivos. Gostei muito dos pormenores desta colecção com animais estampados em várias peças, e também dos apontamentos em pêlo que realçam e valorizam bastante os looks. Os sapatos são também lindos, e claro, todos os casacos de homem podiam vir directamnete para mim! ... I wish!! ;)

Chanel

Como já é habitual Chanel, apresenta sempre grandes colecções para os seus desfiles, chamados 'Métiers D'art' realizados sempre nas colecções Pre-Fall e Cruise. Desta vez a inspiração veio da Índia, com looks bastante trabalhados, especialmente em pequenos pormenores e em acessórios já característicos da marca. Gostei bastante do trabalho feito com os cabelos e make-up e também de todo o styling do desfile.

Jason Wu

Jason Wu já é conhecido por tornar as mulheres chics, sofisticadas e bonitas. Com extremo bom gosto e bastante elegância criou novamente uma excelente colecção. Gosto particularmente dos vestidos e das calças e realço também os tops e os sapatos, habituados a vestir uma grande parte das mulheres da elite de Nova Iorque. Realço também os acessórios e as malas que estão a ficar cada vez mais fortes e com bastante personalidade.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Tenho a dizer que quando visitei Nova Iorque, a colecção ao vivo que mais me impressionou ao ver e tocar, foi sem dúvida Phillip Lim. Tanto pela sua qualidade e simplicidade, alguma irreverência em algumas peças e pelo estilo cosmopolita que transmite. Esta colecção vem precisamente mostrar isso. Peças simples, algumas com um toque de irreverência, acessórios lindos e originais e peças intemporais e de excelente qualidade! É assim que defino 3.1 Phillip Lim... AMO!

Proenza Schouler

Um dos maiores casos em ascensão na moda mundial hoje em dia, trata-se deste duo de rapazes. Proenza Schouler já é um caso sério, e desde o seu inicio que apresenta colecções maduras e bastante coerentes! Esta trata-se de mais um caso de sucesso. Excelentes acessórios, bons cortes e cores apropriadas. Gosto muito quando exploram novos tecidos e formas de os usar e estes dois rapazes fazem isso e muito bem!

Burberry | Explorers Collection

After the collection “April Showers”, Burberry is back with a new temporary collection, of accessories only. It’s called “Explorers Collection” and it appeals to our adventure side!!
I loved some of the pieces, and I’ve got my eye in bag with two straps!

Depois da colecção "April Showers" (chuvas de abril), a Burberry volta com uma nova colecção temporária, só de acessórios. Chama-se "Explorers Collection" (colecção de exploradores) e quer juntar-se ao nosso lado de aventureiro!! Adorei algumas peças da colecção e estou de olho no saco com duas alças!



Like Burberry has got us used to, the marketing productions around each collection are excellent and this is no exception. With a video accompanying the campaign, we see bags, shoes, scarves, glasses and watches… which show us that this collection promises to be a success, following so many others. It is still unknown if it’s going to be annual, but for what I’ve seen, seems pretty good, following through, the other trend of the season : Urban Jungle!!

Como a Burberry já nos habituo as produções de marketing a volta de cada colecção são excelentes e esta não fica atrás. Com um video a acompanhar a campanha, vemos malas, sapatos, lenços, óculos e relógios... que nos mostra que esta promete ser mais uma colecção de sucesso, seguindo tantas outras. Ainda não sabemos se vai ser anual, mas pelo que ja vi, parece-me bastante bem, dando seguimento a outra tendência da estação: Urban Jungle!!

London Fashion Week | Fall Winter 2011 »Part I«

I know, i know... I'm late!
But its better later than never! Right? =D

So, London Fashion Week, always give us a different taste of the others fashion weeks! Here the things are different and very british! Relaxed and sophisticated...

Now I show you some of the best shows from this Fashion Week, and as soon as possible I'll show you the second part of this post! Ok?

Burberry Prorsum
For me is (almost!) always the high of the top, of the London Fashion Week! This collection is very collorfull at the beggining, whith structured jackets, as another magnificent reinterpretation of the 'trench' by Christopher Bailey! But, for me, the top of this collection are the black/white jackets in cotton at the end of the show! This lightweight wool silk trench coats, with fabulous detailing, including the wood silk with cable knit finishing and lace-ups in black leather. I love them...

Aquascutum
Aquascutum in terms of collor pallete are magnific! I love the blues mixed with orange and camel... The coats are very nice and i love the fur details on the gloves! The styling are very good, and it feels soo warm and confortable that i just want to embrace some looks! xD.

Mary Katrantzou
Mary Katrantzou with her glorious patterns, gave me again a huge smile! I love the patterns and the silhouette, but i think that this is more of the same, of the past collections! I love her designs and her work, and the Louboutin boots are fabulous with the outfits!

Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane, came with a great collection. For me "the extraordinary plastic trims that arrived to infect severe black shift dresses", (like said Tim Blanks) were the funny part, of the collection (and that's the part that we discover that Kane is a pure genius!). And where the idea came from? The collection's starting point was a simple challenge: "Let's find a textile that's never been used." Said Kane.

Pringle of Scotlan
Pringle of Scotland's collection is a mix of patterns, colors, fur, leather and soft detailings in each piece! The fur sleeves and also the boots are simple details that i love. The orange trousers came from the past season but are in the perfect mood for this Fall! Love it!

Milan | Men's Fashion Week »Part I«

From the past five days, Milan gave us his Men's Fashion Week for the Winter 2011/2012.
I didn't have time to post about every detail, as i would like, but now i show you my favourite collections from this Fashion Week.

This is »Part I«, because many shows thrilled my eyes!!! And all of them in just one post, will be just, boring!
Soo, i hope you like my choices...

Burberry Prorsum
Burberry's designer Christopher Bailey loves himself some coats. And this season there are ship loads of em across a range of iconic cuts and fabrics, from a lumberjack coat in buffalo plaid to a duffel in burnt orange to vinyl slickers in shades of toffee and caramel. It's a collection that's deep in the Burberry roots, especially the two-button suits in camel, black and dark moss, but Bailey also mixes things up and reaches into all the references a modern man knows, throwing in Kangol-esque fur caps any MC would dig as well as lug-soled creepers that a new wave '80s boy would rock.

D&G
Fifty-odd years of American pop culture gets put in the Italian mix master and spun on 'high'.We've got suits in late-'60s era bold plaids paired with preppy check shirts; T-shirts with big Coca-Cola logos and Mickey Mouse images paired with bright-colored high tops and baggy jeans. There's even a Joe Namath-worthy fur coat.

Gucci
A nod to Gucci's '70s heritage. Frida Gianni takes that era's colors (dusty rose, brown, camel) and puts them on today's sharply tailored slim suits, then pairs them with shirts and ties in subtle color combinations like teal, tan and brown. This is a quieter swagger for Gucci this season, but don't think it's not a Gucci swagger through and through—not when coats come complete with a curly lamb shearling and fur collars as well as ostrich.

Jil Sander
What happens when Teutonic minimalism gets a shot of pop? This. It's like an iconic Joseph Beuys cashmere suit got left in a grade-school art room and retrofitted with bright tempera paint-colors (hyper blue, fuschia and Cheetos orange, among others) to create bold accents. Jil being Jil, the suits and sweaters and shirts are still cut slim and form-fitting, just like the cropped, quilted overcoats that have the feel of '60s Gstaad ski patrol coats.
